Caryana Castillo (Dominican Republic, 1982), studied Fine Arts and Illustration at Altos de Chavón (2001), Graphic Design and Advertising at the Universidad Católica de Ávila, Spain (2013) and Performance Art workshops and experiences like Management of Cultural Events, Museography and Socio-cultural Animation. She was part of Colectivo Chocolatero, Landings Project and Movimiento Amor al Arte. Caryana has participated in about 60 solo and group exhibitions. She created the artistic-business project Casita del Alma (2017) and the itinerant exhibition project “La Ciudad del Yaque” (2019) with Ana Agelán (curator), researching architecture, Caribbean flora, culture and history of Dominican Republic.
