About Claudette Thompson: I am a Jamaican teacher, and a writer who resides in the Bahamas. Some of my accomplishments include being National Winner in the Bahamas National Arts Festival on three occasions, being named Best Writer in the Veteran’s Division of the Bahamas Poetry Competition and placing 3rd. overall. I chaperoned the first cohort of Bahamian Youth Ambassadors (Bold Leaders) who traveled to the USA to participate in a month long leadership training program sponsored by the US State Department. As a lifetime member of the Bahamas Red Cross, I am involved in HIV/ AIDS education. I believe that to whom much is given, much is required.
