“Making your world smile” is how Waldane Walker contextualizes his interactions with others as an artist. His artistry through performance seeks to address and provoke a host of socio-political concerns such; as gender inequality, cultural preservation and masculinities. In his most recent work “MASK Q LIE” he explores the construction of “ masculinity” in the Caribbean and how that affects male identities in this region. Waldane is a recent graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, honing a BFA in Theatre and a minor in Dance performance.
