About Tanya Batson Savage: I am a publisher, writer, filmmaker, producer, creative consultant and lover of mangoes. Through my publishing company Blue Banyan Books and its imprint Blouse & Skirt Books, the English-speaking Caribbean’s fastest growing publishing hut, I am trying to create the changes I want see in the world through words, images and ideas. As a writer I have authored the the children’s book Pumpkin Belly and Other Stories, the critically acclaimed play Woman Tongue, the award-winning short Endeavour and been a fellow of the Calabash and Cropper workshops. My career has crisscrossed journalism, cultural policy, teaching, advertising, and publicity, but I would rather spend my time reading, writing, watching great movies and shows and eating mangoes.
