About Tukula Ntama: I create unique, contemporary stories that remark on the conditions and actions of man and earth. I illustrate the good and the not so good. I explore creative processes and techniques, nature’s textures, man made and recycled materials. I mix these with art processes such as drawing, painting and fabrics to create new narratives. Recurring themes in my works are the preservation of our natural environment and cultures, love of handcrafted traditions, and sensitivity to contemporary human mindset and events, always questioning my position in it all. In my work, I shed knowledge, light and hope for positive ways forward.
