Brian Ashing is a visual artist from Trinidad and Tobago and attained his BSc in Environmental Management from the University of the West Indies. He works predominantly in watercolours, oils and graphite, specialising in imaginative realism and representational art. His figurative works seek to evoke feelings of otherworldliness while hinting at larger narratives about human nature. His landscapes, on the other hand, aim at capturing the understated beauty of the natural environment. He draws inspiration from emotions, mental states, science, philosophy, and current issues, hoping to incite deeper contemplation about life and the human experience.
