Patricia Mohammed – Trinidad & Tobago

Patricia Mohammed is Emerita Professor of Gender and Cultural Studies, University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad. Her expertise is in gender and development studies, film and the study of aesthetics and visual intelligence. She authored Imaging the Caribbean: Culture and Visual Translation, Macmillan UK, (2009) and has written extensively on art in the Caribbean. She has directed 17 films among them the award-winning documentaries “Coolie Pink and Green” (2009) and “City on a Hill”, (2015). A recent publication is the illustrated Travels with a Husband, jointly written with artist Rex Dixon, Hansib Publishers, United Kingdom (2016).
