Kingston Creative, Fresh Milk and the American Friends of Jamaica introduce CATAPULT | A Caribbean Arts Grant – a group of six new initiatives supporting Caribbean Creatives. These funding opportunities will increase the visibility of over 1,000 Caribbean-based artists, creatives and cultural practitioners to global audiences, provide much needed financial support, and develop the creative skills of our artists.
As a Consultant, you will be contracted to create websites, online stores, and/or social media accounts for several creatives who have been awarded grants under the Consultancy Voucher programme. The objective of this project is to enable artists from the Caribbean to be able to showcase their practices, and market and sell their products to a wider audience, beyond their borders. Experience:
You should have more than 5 years experience creating high quality websites, online stores and social media accounts.
Residence/Nationality:
You will need to be based in a Caribbean country.
Scope of Work:
1. You will be required to assess the online needs and capacity of between 5 and 40 creatives. The objective is to allow the artist to market and/or sell their work online thereby boosting their online presence, sales or sales prospects.
2. You will be required to fulfill those online needs through the creation of a website, online store, and or social media accounts. This will also require you to work with the creatives to provide copy for these solutions.
3. You will be required to ensure that the online solutions are properly registered with search engines and that the sites are search engine optimised.
4. You will be required to initiate an online advertising campaign for the client.
Budget:
You will be paid USD $500 per client that is assigned to you.
Languages:
Proficiency in English is required but we welcome applicants from across the region whose native language is Dutch, French or Spanish.
Experience working with creatives or in the creative industries is a distinct advantage.
Timeline:
